We are a small team, working across residential and commercial interior design within in the Queensland. We pride ourselves on our positive, professional, and personal approach in all that we do. Job Summary
We are looking for a casual/part-time Retail & Marketing Lead to handle the Retail component of our Design Studio. Depending on availability, the ideal candidate will be available 3-4 days per week, and will work from our Gladstone studio.
An invaluable member of our team, the perfect candidate is equally creative and strategic. This role offers the opportunity to lead our Retail space and take charge of our digital growth and awareness, build our online community, and influence our brand approach. You will cultivate and implement forward-thinking ideas to build and maintain a strong on-brand presence in the market.
You must have excellent knowledge of retail, visual merchandising, and digital and social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram. You have a great eye and have strong experience creating content (designed and written), ideally within the interiors and lifestyle space.
The ideal candidate should have visual merchandising and retail experience and a real interest in videography and photography to create short form video content for all social media channels.
You will be responsible for:
Managing our retail shopfront both bricks & mortar & online and our social media accounts. This includes:
• Man the retail shopfront daily when in the studio
• Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and shippers
• Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
• Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
• Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales
• Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate planning
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
• Respond to customer complaints and comments
• Organize special promotions, displays and events
• Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing
• Initiate changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market
• Growing and engaging our audiences online
• Oversee design and evolving aesthetic of social media accounts
• Create monthly content calendars, brand campaigns and reactive content
• Create stand-out, high-quality, imaginative, and on-brand graphic and written content
• Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns
• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
• Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, monitor customer reviews and other social listening efforts
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, including thoughtfully aligned campaigns, promotions, and competitions.

Skills
• Ability to design and implement successful digital marketing campaigns
• Strong understanding of inventory & cashflow control
• Solid knowledge of visual merchandising
• Strong understanding of how all current digital marketing channels function
• Solid knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
• Multi-platform experience (social media and digital media): Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Mailchimp
